 PLEASE READ!!! This
page is a work in progress, an experiment with a new design and format.  Because the collection of documents, photos
and research notes is growing, I'm introducing "family" pages to exhibit these items and give more indepth biographies
whenever possible.  I do not take credit for artwork here, it is stock graphics I found on-line and will add credits
as soon as I can clarify where I found each piece (sloppy web searches on my part).  As always, if you can provide corrections, or additional
information or items, or, if you would like to provide feedback on the new design, please EMAIL
                           me, Áine (Irene) MacCollar.

NOTES FOR DESCENDANTS OF FRED PUGH McCOLLOR
Fred Pugh was a farmer
by tradeFred's son, Earl Martin registered for the draft in September of 1918. On his enlistment
record (see document below) he is described as having a tall build, with blue eyes and brown hair.  He lists himself
as a self-employed farmer and names his father as his nearest relative. Another record exists concerning the birth
of Roy Alton.  It claims he was born not on the 4th but on the 5th and at Cornville, ME, not Chrisfield.Frederick
John, son of Alton served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He worked for the State of Maine for 28 years and was an avid
amateur radio enthusiast. He loved to ride motorcycles. He was a survivor of cancer.  He died at age 70 of complications
                                       of a stroke.

                                       MYSTERY OF LITTLE INEZ
Inez was the child of cousins Mary Jane "Mame"
McCollor and Fred Pugh McCollor.  She died at just 9 years old "of consumption" (one name for TB which was
so common back then.)  The mystery began when we noted that Inez was born a full ten years before Fred's marriage to
Ethel. Thanks to cousin Doris Mahoney, who was particularly curious about the little girl, we have been able to confirm her
parentage. It is not known if there was a marriage between Mary Jane and Fred or not.  Inez is buried with Edward and
Margaret McCollor in Evergreen Cemetery where her name is spelled Ines.  Doris and I have felt Inez had fallen between
the cracks in the family history, but deserves her rightful place as the first child of Fred Pugh.
